Good Evening! Just a quick post tonight.   I had some leftover backgrounds done with Distress Oxide Sprays, splatters done with Jacquard Metallic Paint and Distress Picket Fence paint. Matting with gold really brought the gold out of the background.  I am the worst photographer on the planet and it's hard to make out the layered background! Hi there! With this Covid-19 virus, and isolation, I have been doing things around the house as well as having more time to play with paper and inks! This card is stamped with a set by Crafter's Companion 'Sea Shells' stamps and coloured with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.  I love using both marker brands!  My favourite ink to use for colouring with alcohol and water based markers is the new Nuvo Hybrid. Once the colouring was finished the stamped image was accented with a Signo white pen, (in stock), Nuvo Crystal Drops for bubbles, (in stock) and finally with 'Dirty Sand' embossing powder, (in stock), from Emerald Creek out of Alberta.  All of their specialized embossing powders are must haves!   Thanks for checking in!  Stay safe and stay healthy! Are you stuck indoors, isolating because of Covid19?  Getting bored yet?  The first few days were driving me nuts because I'm not used to having time off!  For the past couple of days I have been posting projects on facebook and remembered... hey!  I should start blogging again! Today's post is using the gorgeous P13 papers !   They are a heavyweight paper with beautiful watercolour images.  These papers make you want to fussy cut everything!  Everyone that has purchased some of this line has come back for more.  Love, love, Love Today's card has a background using Distress Oxide Sprays in Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose.  It still needed something so I added Antique Linen here and there.  To add some interest I used a fine liner brush and Jaquard Lumiere paint in Metallic Gold to add some lines like marble.  It still needed something more so did some splatter with Distress Picket Fence paint and once again with Jacquard ...

First Classes Of 2019! This first set of classes will include a candy box/card as well as two masculine cards - 1-Fishing related and 1-Outdoors.  We will also use the envelope maker tool to make a square envelope for the fishing card.   Students will need a good paper trimmer as well as a score board for making the candy box card.  Using a ruler and pencil for cutting won't work for this class. It's been a while since I've been able to have classes and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again! 3D Embossing Folders & Mirror Paper Have you tried putting mirror paper through your die cutting machine using those gorgeous 3D embossing folders?  Did your beautiful paper have cracks from the extreme highs and lows? Tip of the day.... Mist the back of your cardstock and wait 15 seconds and then put it through your Big Shot or die cutting machine!  Works like a charm!! Have a wonderful day crafting! Sheree

  It's New Year's Eve and am looking forward to new goodies arriving in January and February! One item that I can hardly wait for is the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine, and another for those with the Gemini electric die cutting machine, the Gemini Foil Press! These machines will take crafting and card making to a whole new level.  You will be able to use some of your thinlet dies you already own and there's also a whole new selection of stamp / die and stamp combos put out by Spellbinders and Crafter's Companion.  I have the Glimmer systems on order and can bring in the Gemini systems as well by special order. Please note that the Spellbinders Glimmer will work in the Big Shot, Spellbinders Grand Caliber and many other name brands except for the Cuttlebug.  The Gemini states it would probably work with other name brands except for the Cuttlebug.  And now the question is... which one do you choose?  -The Spellbinders Glimmer ...

Good Afternoon! I completed this layout this afternoon and am very happy with how it turned out!  Please excuse my photography skills as there's so much texture and 3d aspects that don't show well. When the BoBunny Bella Rosa papers arrived last week my eye gravitated to the one showing old wood gates.  I immediately thought of my mother's photo from 1943 and how this would frame it perfectly!  I started off by sponging on Prima Alchemy paint in Gold Rush to highlight the middle of the paper.  I received some really neat Colorbox stencils last week and the one called 'swirl dot' reminded me of the winter winds whipping around.  I used texture paste here and there around the gold focal point.  The berries on the branches were accented with glossy accents and I used a snowflake stencil with Inka Gold as well. The old jalopy was painted with Viva Decor 3D paints in rust and dark brown.  They have such a nice sandy, rusty look to them!...

I'll be putting in a pre-order tomorrow for the new WRMK Precision Stamping Tool.  It's like another one on the market but don't know how different they both are from each other. Good Morning! Here's the first official post of my new adventure!  I hope that what I post gets the creative juices flowing and you create something special as well. The BoBunny Farmers Market papers are beautiful!  Fall is my favourite season with everything changing it's colours before a long winter. With this card I've used vellum, glossy accents, Distress Inks in Lemonade and Wild Honey for the ribbon and Gathered twigs for all edges.  The vellum was embossed with a folder I've had for years and never use and then sewn by machine onto the background.  When it's a fairly small area to emboss, play with texture!  We all have many 'impulse buy' items in our stash and this is a great way to use them!  Use pop dots to add height in various ways and stickles or what ever you have to play with light. The bow was distressed with ink and then used a Penny Black stamp to add Gathered Twigs.  My photography skills have gone by the wayside so o...

Good Morning! Here's a Christmas card we made in class using the Sizzix On The Edge die for the holly and another Sizzix die for the leaping deer.  Sewing and a layer of vellum added texture to the card that was finished off with a white satin bow. Good Afternoon! Here's a masculine card I made a while ago.  Once I saw the Fabscraps papers it didn't take me long tofigure out what to do! The stamp is Stampers Anonymous and the die cut is from Cheery Lynn done in copper mirror card.  Everyone loves the edges of the card and I achieved that with a Versamark pad and clear embossing powder! Good Afternoon! This is one of my background techniques that I taught in a class in 2014.  This shows the colour combinations that can be achieved when blending different inks together.  Be careful not to overdo it! Good Afternoon! This is one of my favourite cards using one of my favourite dies!  Tattered Pointsettia by Sizzix can be used in so many different ways.   What you can't see is the shimmer spray I put onto the petals.  Make your own using Perfect Pearls powder mxed with water.  It's beautiful in real life.  I just wish I could get more of the background die!
